Carly Midgley has been writing since the age of 10, when she read a book about a magic school and thought: this needs more princesses. Princesses don’t often appear in her books now, but she still loves a good fairy tale. Carly holds a BA in English literature from Trent University and was the 2014 recipient of the Timothy Findley Creative Writing Prize. She also has several years’ editorial experience. When not writing, Carly can be found petting her two cats, overanalyzing books and video games, and concocting children’s programs for the local library.
